Infant Programs
Montessori for infants is all about movement, connection, and respectfully encouraging independence. Our caregivers create calm, predictable spaces so infants can explore safely and develop trust.
Stars
Who: 6 weeks –12 months at entry
Stars is a gentle, predictable space where newborns and infants settle into the rhythms of the day. Teachers follow each baby’s cues for feeding, sleep, and play, and present simple, sensory-rich materials that encourage reaching, watching, and quiet exploration. These first months focus on secure attachment, early motor milestones, and language through the tiny foundations that support a lifetime of learning.
Sparklers
Who: 12–18 months at entry or move-up from Stars
In Sparklers, children begin to practice small, meaningful tasks that build concentration and independence, so toddlers can succeed at their own pace. Social moments are gentle and predictable, helping children learn turn-taking, short group routines, and the language to name emotions and needs.
Firecrackers
Who: 18–24 months at entry or move-up from Sparklers
Firecrackers is where purposeful independence grows into an everyday classroom habit. Children refine fine motor skills with practical materials, and expand vocabulary through naming and storytelling. The classroom balances child-led exploration with simple, respectful routines so toddlers gain confidence in both doing for themselves and being part of a group.
Junior Preschool Program
These rooms introduce longer projects and more purposeful play. Children deepen concentration, start early math and literacy comprehension, and grow social independence.
Rockets
Who: 2 at entry (after September 1st) or move-up from Firecrackers before May
Rockets invites two-year-olds into more focused exploration that strengthens attention and pride in contribution. Practical-life lessons like basic self-care, preparing snacks, and looking after their belongings are taught with clear, simple steps so children learn responsibility and sequencing. The room supports emerging self-direction and pattern recognition that prepare children for more formal learning.
Explorers
Who: 2 at entry (by September 1st) or move-up from Firecrackers during or after May
Explorers offers rich, hands-on investigations that encourage curiosity and collaboration, all in a prepared environment that promotes reasoning, expressive language, and increasingly sophisticated social interaction. Children are encouraged to take on responsibilities and collaborate with peers as their independence grows.

Preschool Programs
Children here take on more complex learning, and we emphasize independence, early literacy, math foundations, and social responsibility. Potty-training support is also available in this room, so families feel guided through that important milestone.
Who: 3 at entry (by September 1st)
Eagles is a bridge to more complex, self-chosen work where our children extend their concentration, practice practical independence, and take on classroom roles that build leadership and empathy. Potty-training support is available to families in this classroom.
Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten Programs
These classrooms combine open-ended discovery and intentional academic skill-building so children move to elementary school confident, curious, and socially ready.
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) — 4–5
Who: 4 by September 1st (must be fully potty trained)
Our TK classroom blends Montessori learning with 21st-century technology so four-year-olds develop early literacy, math thinking, and collaborative habits in a developmentally respectful way. TK students must be fully potty-trained to participate in the full program.
Kindergarten — 4–5
Who: 5 by September 1st or 5 by March 31st with an AmeriMont assessment (must be fully potty trained)
Our Kindergarten classroom deepens reading, writing, and mathematical thinking by moving from concrete materials to more abstract work and meaningful projects. Children explore connected themes across science, geography, and community studies, applying skills to real tasks and group inquiries. The focus is on confident learners who can read with purpose, solve problems, and contribute thoughtfully to their classroom community.

Cohorts that grow together
Whenever possible, we move entire classrooms up together so children keep the friends they’ve known and trusted since the start of their journey at AmeriMont. Those cohort relationships create emotional safety that encourages trying things outside regular comfort zones, language growth, and cooperative problem-solving. We believe those early, steady bonds can be as important to learning as any lesson.
Of course, each child is unique. We balance cohort continuity with teacher observations and family conversations. If a child is clearly ready earlier or needs extra time, we make individualized plans rather than a one-size-fits-all policy.
