The AMA Way

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide a positive, educational environment that meets each student’s intellectual, social, cultural, physical, artistic, and emotional needs.

Our preschools offer a Montessori enriched program based upon the principles of Dr. Montessori.  She found that if you appropriately challenge a child and allow them to advance at their own pace, they become very motivated and independently challenge themselves.  This approach parallels the technology-rich classroom we offer where a personalized and connected learning environment increases productivity, student engagement, and confidence.

Students who continue with us past preschool, then move on to our TK/K program, offered at both our preschool sites.   Through our TK/K porgram, we’ve created a community of learners who are being constantly challenged by teachers, as well as their peers to achieve high levels of individual success.  Students use the most up to date technology as a vital tool to enhance learning in all areas of our curriculum.  Our campus is a technology-rich environment where students utilize digital devices to advance their curricular understanding of academic concepts at their individual pace and level.  The students also receive specialized instruction in art, Spanish, STEM, Physical Education and music.

In addition to achieving academic excellence, we work to ensure our students are well-rounded global citizens displaying good character. Our professional staff and parents collaborate to positively shape the social, emotional, and character development of the children entrusted to us each day.  Students feel safe, respected, and connected to those around them, allowing them to thrive academically and socially and be motivated to be successful in their communities.

The AmeriMont Academy (AMA) goals are to:

  1. Foster: self-worth, confidence, and feelings of achievement
  2. Create: students that are eager, determined, and motivated to learn
  3. Guide: students as they work collaboratively to learn problem solving, deductive thinking skills, and feel a sense of belonging to a group
  4. Instill: virtues such as courtesy, honesty, citizenship, compassion, & respect
